AUTISM CONFERENCE 2018
The Second Annual Autism Conference gave the impetus to take autism care to the next level. The day long scientific event saw around 330 delegates and a galaxy of speakers who have proven themselves in providing the care support needed for ASD care.
The focus of the conference was Autism –Beyond Core therapies with dimensions like transition towards adulthood, social support, medical management, psychological components, social communication, academic aspects, and ways to empower the ASD challenged were elucidated by the panel of speakers. This was an eye-opener to the avenues that lay ahead for professionals involved in ASD care. The clients’ perspective was also highlighted with the caretakers of ASD kids taking part in the discussions.
There were 25 posters presented overall and the top three posters were presented as a oral presentation. The posters portrayed the immense scope and innovation that can be achieved with a scientific temper towards ASD care.
Providing a comprehensive platform for ASD care and management was indeed satiating for the NICE team. We thank one and all involved in giving a sense of purpose and pride to the conference. Look forward to more in the next year’s conference.
